As of now, four team meetings were held over Zoom, and the team is currently running a small-scale, pilot data collection and analysis on the School Marketing sub-project.
Progress in Hong Kong
Data collection in Hong Kong has been completed. We collated information of over 400 secondary schools concerning school websites, class structure, enrolment records (school years 2020-2022), and scraped data from the respective Facebook pages. The team then proceeded to discuss the direction of data analysis, which will soon be run by Prof. Chiu, Dr. Dong and Dr. Poudel.
Progress in Nepal
In Nepal, Dr. Poudel administered a survey on social network access to teaching and school information. So far, he has received responses from over 100 participants from schools and tertiary institutions in both public and private sectors. He is now working on data cleaning and coding, and will share the data with the team once ready.
